Send reports by email on a schedule

The desktop application or Stratum Server can send a dashboard by email each day, week or month. The web application cannot do this. In the web application, make the PDF or the Excel file and send it yourself.

The desktop application sends the email only while it is open. If it was closed at the time of a send, it sends the email the next time you start it.

To set the mail server

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Click the Email tab.
  3. Type the data of your mail server. Your IT department can give you this data.

To add an email schedule

  1. Open the dashboard and click Email.
  2. Click + New email schedule.
  3. Type the Name and select the Project (reports need a saved project).
  4. In To (separate with ; or ,) and Cc, type the email addresses.
  5. Type the Subject and the Message. You can use {project}, {date} and {datadate} in the text.
  6. Select Daily, Weekly or Monthly, and the time.
  7. Select PDF of the dashboard, Excel workbook or the two.
  8. Make sure that Enabled is selected. Click Save schedule.

Each schedule shows the time of the next send and the result of the last send. To send a report immediately, click send now on the schedule.
